Welcome to Inspire Dance Utah!
We understand, love, and grow.
Welcome to Inspire Dance where adults with disabilities learn basic dance skills, reap the mental and physical health benefits of moving to music, build confidence, and socialize with others all while having fun!
This program is designed for special needs adults both men & women 18-40 years old. Located at The Senior Center in Brigham City Utah. We welcome stimming, verbal & non-verbal individuals, all differences and disabilities.
What to expect while in class each week.
At the beginning of class Dancers will have the opportunity to learn stretches to help both their minds and bodies while listening to fun uplifting music.
Dancers will learn a level appropriate dance routine to perform at each showcase. They will get to move their bodies, learn how to follow instructions all while having fun.
Dancers will have the opportunity to engage in games centered around music and movement to help them socialize with their peers and to learn coordination skills such as balancing, catching, throwing, bending and more.
At the end of class Dancers will say self-affirmations to help build self-confidence. Each dancer will get a sticker along with a choice of a high five, wave, or hug from their teacher before leaving class.
Special Note
If your Dancer requires assistance caregivers, ABA workers, respite workers etc. are welcome to attend class. Dancers who elope/run away, struggle in group settings, or who need assistance with the restroom need to be accompanied by a trusted adult to class each week. To ensure everyone’s safety, if your Dancer engages in aggressive behaviors private classes may be discussed with Cassy.

My hopes for this program are that all dancers will have a place to be excited, be their authentic selves, while reaping the rewards of improving their mental health, moving their bodies, and having a place of expectance and love.
I have always had a love for dance and the power it has on improving mine and others mental health. My love for dance began as a young girl and has been an important part of my life ever since. I participated as a child and teenager on competitive dance teams.
After high school I lived for a time in the Caribbean learning about the world, meeting life-long friends, and gained a greater appreciation for the country I live in. When arriving home I married my sweet husband and began teaching dance while becoming a Registered Behavior Technician at a nearby clinic.
I then moved to the public school system working in a functional skills class which then led me to own my previous business for 6 years rendering behavioral interventions to many children and adults with various disabilities. I have such a love and better understanding of those who live with disabilities. My previous clients have taught me to be a better mother and person over all. I will be forever grateful for the awesome people who continue to inspire me.
I am a mother to a beautiful little girl who is the sunshine of our lives. My husband is my number 1 supporter in every endeavor I have taken. We have a love for being outdoors, taking family trips, playing games, and eating lots of ice cream together. I look forward to meeting all that come to Inspire Dance Utah. I believe we need more resources, and programs catered to those with disabilities both for children and adults.
